Product Lifecycle and Responsible Manufacturing

Protecting the Environment

Recycled items are made from materials that previously formed another object. The recycling of paper is the process by which waste paper is turned into new paper products.

Products that are enjoying their second or subsequent life or made with recycled products from another source.

What we offer

Cardboard boxes made from 100% recycled paper and board.

Recyclable means the item can be reused when the owner no longer has use for it. Paper, metal, and plastic may all fall under this category subject to local authority guidelines.

What we offer

Cardboard boxes that 100% recyclable and 100% biodegradable.

Please be aware that the foil printing we use does not diminish the ability to recycle as the amount transferred by hot stamping is so thin that is dissipates within the re-pulping process.

Standard paper is called ‘virgin’ because it’s made of fresh-cut trees that haven’t been used for anything else before paper. The timber is cut, milled into pulp, and formed into brand new paper.

What we offer

Cardboard boxes made from board and paper that comes from FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) accredited sources.

Much of our packaging is also not single use as it is designed for storage as well as presentation.  Our fabric covered coin and medal boxes are an integral part of the product offering and would generally not be considered “disposable packaging”.

Our Accreditations

We have ISO14001 accreditation.  This is an International Standard defining environmental management standards.  We are also members of Paperpak.  This is a government accredited Compliance Scheme that helps companies comply with the Producer Responsibility Obligations (Packaging Waste) Regulations 2007.

Waste Reduction / Recycling

We are an award winning Lean manufacturing company constantly seeking ways to reduce waste in our operations.  We currently recycle our waste steel, paper, board and most plastics and constantly seek to reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill.

Environmental Impact

We are constantly seeking ways to reduce our environmental impact through reduction of wastewater, energy usage and management of air quality.  In the last 12 months we have reduced our water usage by 8% and our energy usage by 22% through a variety of improvements.

Carbon footprint

We manufacture a wide range of products in the UK from raw materials sourced in the UK and Europe, minimising our carbon footprint as far as possible.
